AS OF AUGUST 20TH, 2022, AS CITADELE BANKA WILL STOP PROCESSING ALL (INCOMING AND OUTGOING) PAYMENTS FOR TO AND FROM RUSSIA AND BELARUS FOR PRIVATE CUSTOMERS

As sanctions against Russia and Belarus expand, we will be ceasing all payments to and from Russia and Belarus as of August 20th, 2022. These changes will also apply to pensions and benefits not received via the Latvian State Social Insurance Agency. Therefore, if you receive any payments from the aforementioned countries including social benefits, please take this time to find an alternative for receiving these payments.

We would also like to remind you that, from August 20th, changes will apply to the list of countries for which expanded background checks, and therefore additional fees, apply. Eight countries will be added to the list: Kazakhstan, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Incoming and outgoing payments to and from the countries on this list will incur an additional commission fee of €150 on top of the standard commission fee.
