Jūlija Lebedinska-Ļitvinova appointed as Chief Risk Officer of Citadele

Jūlija Lebedinska-Ļitvinova has been appointed as Chief Risk Officer for Citadele banka and elected as a member of the Management Board as of 1 June 2021, subject to regulators’ approval.

As previously announced, Citadele was in process of selection of new Chief Risk Officer following organizational changes in the Bank’s Management Board and Valters Ābele moving to the role of Chief Financial Officer.

“Valters and the Risk and Credit team have made good progress over the last years. I want to thank him for his contribution in the Chief Risk Officer role and look forward to him fully transitioning to Chief Financial Officer,” says Johan Akerblom, Citadele CEO.

Jūlija Lebedinska-Ļitvinova has an extensive experience of more than 15 years in risk management area in financial sector. Julija comes from a position as Group Chief Risk Officer for Mogo Finance Latvia since 2019. Before that she held Chief Risk Officer’s position in 4Finance Group Latvia, Head of Antifraud and Risk processes position in Home Credit and Finance Bank, Russia and Chief Risk Officer’s position in Home Credit Bank, Belarus. Jūlija Lebedinska-Ļitvinova has a PhD degree in natural sciences from the University of Latvia.
