At the first days of the January the Financial and Capital Market Commission of Latvia and the financial regulator of Estonia (Finantsinspektsioon) have approved Jaan Liitmäe as the new Head of Citadele branch in Estonia.
Citadele’s Chairman of the Board Guntis Beļavskis remarks: „During 2018, we are planning to continue expanding Citadele’s Estonian branch operations – introduction of new services for private and business customers. Jaan Liitmae’s experience in the banking sector and product management will be crucial in achieving the planned results. We are happy that Jaan decided to continue developing his banking career in our group!”
Jaan Liitmäe has 20 years’ experience in the financial sector, holding leading positions at Swedbank and DNB bank. Jaan Liitmäe was a member of the Management Board in DNB bank last 9 years. He was responsible for corporate and retail banking and last 6 years also for leasing. He holds a master’s degree in banking and corporate finance from the Tartu University.
According to Liitmäe, it is best to start the new year with an ambitious team and with serious goals in a company with excellent growth potential. “The Estonian branch of Citadele Bank has been in the market for over 7 years and is well-known among business clients. One of my goals is to take the bank a step further and win the wider support of retail customers. Already today we offer everyday banking services as well as various loan products, but this year we can surprise our customers with new products. I believe that today we are a very good alternative to big banks and, in the future, a serious competitor," said Jaan Liitmäe.
