Citadele Bank

The bank will not be performing interbank payments in euro and USD on the Good Friday (14 April)

Dear Clients,

Please be informed that payments in euro to other banks in Lithuania as well as other countries of the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) and payments in USD will not be executed on the Good Friday (14 April).

Given the fact that the Good Friday is not a business day in most European countries and the EBA STEP2 clearing system managed by the European Banking Association will be inactive, the Bank of Lithuania decided that this year its SEPA–MMS system will not accept SEPA payment orders as well. This means that, on Friday, payments in euro to other banks will not performed.

Payment orders submitted by 13 April 4 p.m. will be credited on the same business day; payment orders placed after this date will be credited on the next business day, i.e. 18 April.

Payments within Citadele bank will be performed as usual, i.e. on all days in real time.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and advise you to make payments in euros by 13 April 4 p.m.

If you have any questions please contact us at phone 19091 and +370 5 266 4600 when calling from abroad.
