For corporate clients about LEI codes for transactions in financial instruments

Published on

Please be informed that as of 3 January 2018, LEI codes will be necessary for all legal entities entering into agreements on any financial instruments and transferring financial instruments.

LEI codes are issued by entities certified by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation, (GLEIF). The list of these entities is available on the website of GLEIF at https://www.gleif.org/en/about-lei/how-to-get-an-lei-find-lei-issuing-organizations.

The clients are required to contact the authorised institution and obtain a LEI code.

The clients who do not have a LEI code will be unable to perform any operation concerning financial instruments kept on their account, including authorising an agent to purchase, sell or transfer financial instruments.
