Citadele Bank in Lithuania Welcomes New Board Member

In January of this year, the Board of Citadele bank in Lithuania was joined by a new member – Dace Priede who has worked for the Citadele Group since 2008. As the new Board member of Citadele bank, she will be responsible for the business field.

“I will seek to ensure efficient implementation of the bank’s strategy and I will focus on the Lithuanian business segment, in particular financing for small and medium-sized companies,” said Dace Priede, the new Board member of Citadele bank.

Before joining the Citadele bank Board in Lithuania, Dace Priede acted as the head of the Baltic Business Monitoring Division at AS Citadele banka in Latvia. She will continue in this role after joining the Board of AB Citadele in Lithuania.

Dace Priede has 16 years of experience of working for financial services organizations. Besides 8 years spent with Citadele bank in Latvia, she has previously held a management position in the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia. She coordinated projects in the Public Integration Fund, in the World Bank’s Project Coordination Unit and in the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Latvia. Dace Priede holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Latvia, Master’s degree in Business Management from Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration, second-level higher education diploma in Economics from the University of Latvia, and Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Latvia. Currently, she is pursuing an executive MBA in business administration and management at Riga Business School.

Currently, the Board of Citadele bank in Lithuania consists of the following four members: Skirmantas Jareckas, Chairman of the Board and Head of the Administration; Jonas Gricius, Board member responsible for finance activities; Dalia Udrienė, Board member responsible for risk management; and Dace Priede, Board member in charge of the business segment in Lithuania.

Over the nine months of 2015, Citadele bank in Lithuania generated unaudited net profit of EUR 3,323, 2.4 times more compared to the same period of 2014. The bank’s business loan portfolio experienced a steady growth in the nine months of 2015, with particularly marked growth in the third quarter of 2015. The number of new business loans granted by the bank over the three quarters of 2015 was 40 % higher as compared to the same period of 2014.
